"We have been working with McKechnies Ltd for nearly a year now on a Leadership Development Programme for all South Tyneside Homes managers. This is an ambitious project as it covers all levels of management in our relatively young company which has recently undergone considerable upheaval and lacked stability at a senior level. McKechnies have worked with us to develop a tailor made programme suitable for the particular needs of our company. We are now a good way through what I expect to be only the first phase of the programme and we have already seen very real evidence of improved performance. Managers now feel part of the larger South Tyneside Homes team and less isolatated within their own part of the company and have given us hard evidence of using some of the skills they have learned. The new culture and expectations of the company with refence to managerial competencies and behaviours is now better understood and demonstrated by managers throughout the company to such a degree that a recent Investors in People diagnostic encouraged us to apply for accreditation immediately. I have no doubt that the work McKechnies have done with our managers is making a real difference to our managers, therefore our teams and therefore our customers."
